Sammy Davis Jr.: The versatile star is back before the footlights in first ever musical show that celebrates the entertainers 75th show biz anniversary in 2004.
In early 2004, the year that marks Davis’ 75th anniversary in show business, a new show opened, entitled Mr. Bojangles: The Ultimate Entertainer, that showcases Davis’ many talents.
The producers found two explosively talented performers to portray Sammy Davis Jr.; Ted Levy and Eric Jordan Young.
This 75 minute live musical stage show re-creates the extraordinary experience of seeing Sammy live.
The show is virtually a non-stop medley of 21 of Sammy's signature numbers from 'Bye Bye Blackbird' to 'Yes I Can'.
Three years in the making, the multimedia show also contains rare footage and interviews. It is aimed at the huge casino market
The show will go nationwide in 2006.
